Siren is led by Artistic Director and co-founder Emma Lynne Harley
Emma Lynne Harley is a multi-hyphenate theatre maker, director and cabaret performer with over a decade of experience as a lead artist, writer, actor-musician, director, and dramaturg.
In their directing practice they have worked with the Lyceum Theatre, Pitlochry Theatre, Magnetic North, A Play, A Pie, and A Pint, Framework, and Sanctuary Queer Arts. They recently directed Knights Theatre’s production of Jennie Lee: Tomorrow is a New Day.
Emma is a Lyceum L20 alum, inaugural Theatre Maker Placement with Company of Wolves (2024-25), and an established cabaret artist who has performed around Scotland, the UK, and Internationally. Emma trained in Drama and Performance at Queen Margaret University, is the first Scottish alum of the O’Neill Theatre Centre’s NTI programme, and holds qualifications in music and sound from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Academy of Music and Sound. They are a trained mental health first-aider with a trauma-informed practice, and a level 2 qualification in Equality and Diversity.

Siren co-founders and associate artists Imogen Stirling (theatre-maker and poet), Lauren Mitchell (theatre-maker and musician), and Lucy Harrower (theatre-maker, musician and DJ) currently work across Scotland, the UK, and internationally, and have worked with organisations including the Citizens Theatre, Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, Vanishing Point, and the worldwide electronic music circuit.
